The Wait is Finally Over: My Antigravity A1 Has Landed!

It’s here! After what felt like the longest five days of my life, my Antigravity A1 drone arrived on December 9th, and I’m absolutely buzzing with excitement.

Day One Believer

I was ready and waiting on December 4th when pre-orders opened. The moment that “Buy Now” button went live, I didn’t hesitate—I knew this drone was going to be a game-changer for my aerial work. Being a day-one adopter means something to me; it’s about being part of the cutting edge and pushing creative boundaries from the start.

The Pre-Flight Ritual

Now comes the hard part: patience. As much as I want to rip open the box and send this beauty skyward, I’m doing things the right way. Here’s my game plan:

First up: Charging the batteries (currently in progress and testing my patience)
Next: FAA registration—because flying legal is flying smart
Then: The firmware update, which they’re saying will take approximately 40 minutes

I’m excited to get this bird in the air, but Mother Nature has other plans. We’re dealing with 70 mph wind gusts here in Cheyenne right now, and I’m not about to let my brand-new A1 become an expensive lawn dart. As frustrating as it is to wait, I’d rather be grounded and safe than airborne and reckless.

What Has Me Most Excited

Here’s where things get really interesting. I’m specifically pumped to create 3D Gaussian splats with this drone. That 360-degree camera isn’t just a cool feature—it’s a complete paradigm shift in how we capture aerial content. I’m ready to hit the skies and create videos with perspectives that traditional drones simply can’t deliver. Imagine immersive, volumetric captures of landscapes, architecture, and dynamic scenes that viewers can explore from every angle.

The creative possibilities are endless, and I can’t wait to push this technology to its limits once these winds calm down.

Your Turn

What do you think I should try to fly and capture? Should I start with sweeping Wyoming landscapes? Urban architecture downtown? Maybe something more experimental? I’d love to hear your ideas!

Until next flight, stay safe and fly often!
